Belgatom and its partners, Tractebel Engineering, and Belgonucleaire have a close and continuous relationship with the key players in the Belgian nuclear energy sector, drawing on :

• the Nuclear Power Plant experience of Electrabel , the utility operating the Belgian NPPs with a total generating capacity of 6020 MW and one of the highest capacities in the world;
• the contracting experience of Synatom for uranium, uranium conversion, uranium enrichment and fuel processing;
• the waste treatment, conditioning and storage facilities operational experience of Belgoprocess as its experience in decontamination and dismantling activities;
• the R&D capabilities of the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre (CEN/SCK) and of Laborelec, the Laboratory of the electric utilities;
• the waste management capabilities of the National Agency for RadioactiveWaste and Fissile Materials, ONDRAF/NIRAS.
