The Suez-Tractebel / Electrabel consortium extends its contract with the EC for the ”On-site Assistance” of the nuclear plant of South Ukraine

After obtaining a one year contract in Marsh 2004 for the « On-Site Assistance » services at the nuclear plant of South Ukraine, the good performance of the Suez-Tractebel / Electrabel consortium has just been confirmed in December 2004. The consortium won an assistance contract in the same nuclear plant for duration of an extra three years.

The On-site Assistance concerns the study and the commissioning of hardware projects, such as control devices of the chemical parameters, surveillance equipment or testing equipment of the functional components of the primary or secondary installations, as well as software projects including a co-operation within various fields of activity, such as crash procedures, training or analyses of human factors involved in operating incidents.

The experts of Tractebel Engineering (consortium leader) and Electrabel will participate to the study and the realisation of these projects. The ratio between the studies of hardware and software projects amounts to 50%.
