The
temporary partnership “Belgatom-GTI” wins a substantial
EPC contract for modifications to EPZ’s nuclear power plant
at Borssele, The Netherlands.
The project
comprises the engineering and carrying out of various improvements
that have to made following the ten-yearly safety reassessment.
Tractebel Engineering, acting under Belgatom name, is the leader
in the Belgatom-GTI partnership and provides the project management
as well as the nuclear engineering services.
Cooperation between Tractebel Engineering and GTI was excellent
from the very start : both partners quickly identified the high
level of complementarity between the two organisations for such
a contract.
The studies and design phases are to start immediately and should
be complete between December 2005 and May 2006. The modification
work itself is scheduled during the October 2006 planned outage.
