In the
course of 2000 Tractebel Energy Engineering studied and designed
the fire protection systems for seven naphtha tanks with a capacity
of 50,000 m³ each. The mission included the drafting of the detailed
specification for the fire protection of these tanks, comprising
mainly the description and sizing of the foam generators, the electronic
cards for the interface, the data transmission exchange. Until now
specialised in fire protection systems for power stations, Tractebel
Energy Engineering was able with this project to apply its expertise
to the request of a new client in the petrochemical sector. We handled
this project in a partnership with TYCO.
Satisfied with
our services, Fina Antwerp Olefins has since then consulted us regarding
the fire protection of loading quays for hazardous-product carrier
vessels
