Founded in 1978 by the three major nuclear engineering companies of Belgium, today Belgatom houses the nuclear engineering expertise of Tractebel and Belgonucleaire.

The experience of these two companies was acquired through their participation in the Belgian nuclear programme during the last forty years and through assignments in more than twenty countries under the single business umbrella of Belgatom.

The outstanding operation results of the Belgian nuclear power plants, with a cumulated load factor exceeding currently 90 %, the safe and reliable operation of all the other nuclear facilities of the country and the good performance of the installations we engineered abroad, are the best guarantee of the quality of our services.
